Cleaning your jewellery:
For silver and gold items, just use mild dish soap and warm water. Cleaning your jewellery often is important to stop it from tarnishing. Alternatively you can also use a polishing cloth to keep the shine on your jewellery. Please take care not to allow the polishing cloth or any other polishing agents you may use to touch the resin stone as this will dull the shine.
How to store your jewellery:
Sterling silver can tarnish, this is a natural process as it comes into contact with the air, environment and your skin. This can be avoided or prolonged by storing your jewellery in a cool and dark place when you take it off.
SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE
Our resin does contain a UV stabalising component but please store your jewellery in a cool dry place away from sunlight or direct heat, to avoid any softening or disclouring. Do not wear on the sunbed or while sunbathing.
SUBMERGING IN WATER
Please avoid submerging your jewellery in water. It is water resistant, not waterproof. Please be sure to remove it before bathing, swimming, washing the dishes, bathing kids/pets etc.
CLEANING
Silver jewellery can oxidise and tarnish with wear and exposure to the PH levels in your body. This is completely normal and you can clean your jewellery by hand using mild soap and water. You can dry it with a soft cloth. You can use a silver polishing cloth on your jewellery, however please do not use it on the resin parts as this can make the resin dull.
CHEMICALS
Avoid any exposure or direct spraying of cleaning products or harsh chemicals. This includes hand sanitiser, nail varnish remover, hairspray, perfume, body sprays, even alcohol etc as these can cause a reaction with the resin and completely ruin your jewellery. Please remove before cleaning or your beauty regime and put back on when your skin is dry.
SMOKING
As with most things, prolonged or regular exposure to smoke will cause the resin to yellow so please avoid.
TAKE EXTRA CARE
Please do not wear to work if you have a heavy/manual/hands on type of job that could easily cause scuffs and scratches to the resin. Please avoid sleeping in your jewellery at night. Be careful not to drop, bang or knock your item as this can cause stones to become loose and potentially be lost.
